Green Screen Challenge
10 December 2007 @ 10:08 pm

Lets play a neat little game called ‘who can put the best image behind me’ taking advantage of the fact that I’m posing in front of a green screen. However, there are rules. Keep it PG. Meanwhile, I shall sit here trying my darndest to study for my physical anthropology exam. Keep me amused and make a picture if you can.

EDIT: I originally deleted this because I thought it was dumb after 45 minutes but I guess people wanted it back up.

Who's Excited? I'M EXCITED!
08 December 2007 @ 07:24 am
It's 7:24 AM. 2 1/2 hours till graduation. As we speak we have my wet hair in a towel, the compulsive flipping of the cell phone has begun. The plan: Do my hair to the best of my ability. I mean make it look good. I try so hard to do something amazing with it and today is the day that I shall make it look the best. Then I shall pick out an outfit that I think I've already picked out last night. I'm going to wear jeans. Do you have a problem with that? Jeans and nice shoes. I havn't quite decided if I want to wear my Editor jeans or the ones I got from Buckle the other day. Both are good. One is nicer looking than the other. Just how formal is this gig?

The next line of action will be cleaning up my apartment to the best of my ability. I have a whole slew of stuff that's just accumulated over the past two weeks due to my lack of being home. This will be accomplished, by jove, if my middle name is Kelly.

Next is getting a chai tea from Cafe Moro because I have had enough chai teas in my life that I deserve a free one. Punch cards are the coolest thing ever.

From there, I shall walk to Beasley and it shall be grand. I'll have the following items: cell phone, which I will send voice AND txt entries to Livejournal so you all know the progress of my graduation. The cell phone will be in one pocket and the camera shall be in the other. It shall be grand.

From there, I will wait around and see what happens. Adventure is lurking around the corner, my friends. Hey guys, I'm about to graduate at 20 years old. I don't know about you, but I think I'm finally realizing that it's kind of kick ass.

I will accept text messages of awesome during commencement. See the following friends only entry with my phone number so you can do so if you wish.

What I Plan To Do With Myself.
07 December 2007 @ 07:38 pm
I figure since I'm about to graduate tomorrow, I better make an entry and explain a couple things. Those things consist of my life and the path its taking. This week and how it almost ruined me. And what I plan to do with myself.

I have not slept in 35 hours. I feel like I could go on and on. I have so many things on my mind. In my living room has been sitting the bag with my cap and gown and other instructions. I havn't opened it. Its been sitting in the same spot since I got it. Time to open it. Join me in the voice post below. Feel free to transcribe if you like.

Next on the agenda. I'm graduating tomorrow and people have been asking me this question as far as I can remember: "Why on earth would you want to graduate at 20?" I can't answer that question. The physics alone boggle the mind.

Sometimes I sit in my chair and every couple of hours i realize that I'm 20 and I'm graduating. I fret and then there are those brief moments that I forget about it. When I think about it, I begin fretting again. Words of wisdom from my professor, "Don’t stress out."

I hate to break to you all but I don't plan on returning to Seattle. And I doubt I will return for a very long time. I will not be going to the Seattle Film Institute. Instead I'm heading up to Spokane and I'm going to camp out at my parents until I find a suitable job. Let me make it clear. I will go wherever I need to go to find a job. That is my priority.

And it shall be grand.

I Could Have Done More
28 November 2007 @ 08:41 pm
It's the last drag of the semester. And strangely enough, it's my last. My god. I am graduating in ten days. TEN days, people! To be honest, I am scared and dreading it. I feel I'm on the verge of death and I feel like I could have done more with my life.

No more apartment. No more newscasts. No more...walking in the snow. No more awful showers. No more ants and moths. Oh my goodness gracious, I feel like I'm going into the paradise that is my parent's house.

As soon as I graduate, I shall be hustled around campus as the on-looking family members attack me with their camera flashes. I'll be wearing a cap and gown and I probably won't look to happy since it's going to be cold and snowing.

As soon as that's over, 85% of my stuff will be moved back to Spokane in boxes where they will be stored in the garage for the time being. My computer minus a desk, will be left. A few clothes will be left. I'll have some food and other necessities but my parents are bringing down an air mattress and sleeping back and for the next five days that will be my home.

From there I will take my final exam for Physical Anthropology on Tuesday sometime and then that's it. I hope to head up to Spokane soon after.

What am I going to miss most? The access to equipment and the newscasts.

But until I graduate, I shall be working on my final project for Field Television which is a mini documentary on news directing featuring world famous news director, Nicole Hensley (me). Hopefully I will work on another news package with another reporter. And then I shall put together my demo reel and from there...we'll see. I've got some ideas, but we'll see where those ideas take me.
